2010-03-15: EPA and CDC are sponsoring a series of Webinars based on the CDC Framework for Program Evaluation in Public Health

EPA and CDC are sponsoring a series of Webinars based on the CDC Framework for Program Evaluation in Public Health. These Webinars are free and open to anyone with an interest in program evaluation. Examples will be drawn from state and local asthma intervention programs. The Webinars include a presentation, followed by a moderated question and answer session with the presenter. All Webinar materials are archived on the Communities in Action for Asthma-Friendly Environments Online Network.

The fourth session in the series is entitled, Using the CDC Framework for Program Evaluation: Gathering Data, Developing Conclusions, and Putting Your Findings to Use.

Learning objectives
At the end of the session the participants will be able to:

·Determine how to select appropriate data collection methods.

·Select appropriate strategies to analyze data to justify conclusions.

·Explain how to disseminate findings.

·Develop a strategy to assure findings are used for program improvement, accountability and communicating success.

Presenter Bio
Christina A. Christie is an Associate Professor, School of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences, Claremont Graduate University . Dr. Christie co-founded the Southern California Evaluation Association and currently serves as Chair of the Research on Evaluation Division of the American Evaluation Association, and section editor of the American Journal of Evaluation.
